When you go to a South African Physician you surely want to be well equipped with some key terms that might be used with regards to your body and your health care!  Here are a few insights to prepare you for your visit!

When the Dr. asks for the torch- Dont panic!!!! It's not that bad, he is simply asking for a light source.

If the Dr. ever gives you directions to the clinic and tells you to turn at the robot, do not look for R2D2.  Be assured that he is speaking about traffic lights.

Often the Dr. will explain to you which foods are best to put in your trolly and carry home in your boot and stock in your pantry.  You will simply nod and thank him for he has just asked you to fill your grocery buggy with healthy items and carry them home in the trunk of your car and put in your cupboard.

If you are asked to show your bum to get an injection, rest assured he is not asking to meet your significant other!  Kindly lower your pants a bit, hold your breath and be prepared for a jab.

On your way out, if the nurse gives you a hug and the Dr. says "Cheerio"...Do not go to the store and add that into your trolly!  It's not on the diet! He is wishing you farewell.
