Dr. Pieter J. deWet has been in private practice, practicing integrative and holistic medicine since 1997 and is the owner and medical director of Quantum Healing Institute in Tyler, TX. This clinic was previously called Tyler Total Wellness Center. Dr. deWet has been a family physician since 1991 when he obtained his Board Certification in Family Medicine and has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Holistic Medicine (not recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialities) since the year 2000. Dr. deWet completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Center of Tyler in 1991. He pursued a career in academic medicine at UT Health Center starting immediately after his residency until he left UT Health Center in 1997 to go into private practice. Dr. deWet was associate professor of family medicine at UT Health Center at Tyler and associate program director of the family practice residency program. He was intimately involved in the development of numerous chronic disease management programs at the University of Texas Health Center. He was also director of the center for nutrition preventive medicine there from 1995-1997.

Dr deWet has been co-host of a nationally syndicated radio program called Healthy, Wealthy & Wise since 2004. Dr deWet has spent his entire career in medicine starting from the time he entered medical school to search for the most effective, least harmful and the most cost effective methods to treat patients with complex health challenges, and currently treats patients from all around the country and worldwide for diseases and health conditions ranging from the most simple to some of the very most complex. Dr. deWet approaches all patients holistically, which means he focuses on body mind and soul and routinely addresses and assist in the treatment of patients physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual issues as it relates to their overall health situation. He is determined to find and treat the root causes of illness in each patient that he sees which is one reason why Dr. deWet is credited for getting very good results with the majority of his patients, especially those that are willing to make the commitment to heal all aspects of their health challenges.

Cindi de Wet has been in medical management for over 10 years. She oversees all staff, protocols, advertising, accounting, billing and patient services. Patient care is her passion and she is dedicated to providing a facility where patients feel at home and get the quality of care they deserve. She feels that a strong Physician/Patient relationship is the most important key to helping each patient achieve their goals. Her passion is to help change healthcare from what it has become to what it should be. She strives for the way it was in the days before where patients had ample time with the physician and patients were treated like family and were welcome at all times. She believes LOVE and support of every patient should be the first priority.

Carolyn Pulis
Office administrator
Carolyn Pulis is our exceptional office administrator. She is extremely creative in efforts to make systems run smoothly and efficiently. Carolyn has had 5 years of medical billing experience which proves very beneficial in assisting patients with their accounting information and resolving billing and accounting issues that may arise. She has had over 30 years of experience in inventory control which proves helpful in the area of maintaining all supplies needed for running a smooth medical practice. She is instrumental in the research of new products and medications that will help our patients in their quest to achieve optimal health.


Vanessa Hunter
Vanessa is our incredible front desk manager. She handles all the workings of taking care of you when you finish your visits with our facility and topping off your experience with her sweet smile and organization. Vanessa is a true woman of strength and she will handle your finances and appointments with care.
Vanessa loves nature, baseball, sewing and she has the most beautiful talent in singing. She and her husband make such a difference in the hearts of our patients and all of us.
