I was overweight (477 lbs., knees hurt with every step and disappointed with myself. A friend told me about Dr. Pieter and his non-traditional approach to obesity. My first visit with Dr. Pieter and the staff at the clinic I could tell they really cared. Dr. Pieter gave me a plan and encouragement to look within myself and to God for strength. I faithfully stayed with the Green Diet and now after twenty months I weight 324 lbs and I can walk without pain. I still have more weight to lose but I have a plan to believe in. With Dr. Pieter, the great staff at the wellness clinic and strength from God I will press on or more precise press off the weight.

It is very difficult to find a doctor who combines conventional and alternative medicine and Dr. de Wet does this very well. My son has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and has been very sick for 2 years. We had a lot of improvement the first year of seeing Dr. de Wet. As we have dealt with the difficult flare-up of JRA everyone here has continued to be very caring and helpful. Dr. de Wet is willing to work with other doctors to try to develop the best comprehensive care for our son. We drive four hours once a month to come here because of the quality of care we receive.

I've been sick for 14 months with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There were many times I literally stopped what I was doing around the house to lay down on the floor. I had to quit my part-time teaching job and was barely able to take care of my infant son.
After a few weeks of IV's (and lots of supplements), I started feeling quite better. Most days, at least 50% better, some more and some less. I just finished a 2-week round of IV Cleocin antibiotics- they warned me I may feel worse in the middle of treatment-and I did. So I worried at first. But the past two days have been among the best I've ever felt in the last year. I had more energy and felt more "normal" than I have in a long time.
I'm starting to hope and believe that I will get totally well. Before coming to see Dr. de Wet I was terrified I would have to live like this forever.

When I came to Dr. de Wet, I could not walk more than 20-50 feet without getting out of breath and becoming fatigued. I have had two open heart surgeries, a broken neck, compressed vertebrae in my lumbar spine. I suffer from diabetes, arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), gout, emphysema and have had cancer lesions removed five times. My quality of life is better now than it has been in 22 years. God has used Dr. de Wet to encourage me and help me. He has improved my life more than I could say. The staff is wonderful. They will never get rid of me until I go home to be with Jesus!

Dear Dr. de Wet, Cindi and staff-
I cannot thank you enough for the time, effort and love you put into this life-changing weekend workshop for me. When I woke up this morning, for the first time in a very long time, I looked forward to my day. My first thought was "great! I get to get up now".
You also provided a place of healing for the relationship between my mom and me (we attended together this weekend). My mom took a very brave step 3 1/2 years ago when she.....
I realized this weekend how much immense love for self and family it took for her to do that. All our relationships are healthier now than they ever were. For so long I resented her for changing. Now I applaud her. She is my hero! My aspiration is to grow to have the strength and resolve that she has.
I was in such pain and grief over my relationship with my mom. I felt that our relationship had died and could not imagine having the closeness that we shared through the years. After this weekend, I can say that our relationship is so much more than it ever was, or that I dreamed it could be. It is a healthy adult-adult relationship full of honesty, respect and desire to see the other soar!

Hi to you!
I have just got to tell you that I walked around on our property with my husband on Friday and then mowed the back yard (with a walking mower not a rider)!!!! That may not mean much to you but it was INCREDIBLE for me and very important to my husband! I have not done that with him for over a year. We used to walk around the property a lot (at least once a day when I would get home from work in the mornings or the first thing on my days off). I felt really good while walking; no pain, no limping, no guarding...just normal perambulation. It was soooo wonderful and I really felt as if I had made progress.
I am thankful that I made the decision to come to your wellness center and for all that has taken place with me. I feel as if I have learned so much in just the few months I have been coming there. I likewise am so pleased as well as being amazed at the amount of weight I have lost in such a short time, and the fact that it has not been difficult to do. (I have lost almost 25 lbs. now since Feb.) I am trying hard to stick to the diet plan and behaving myself. In return I am being rewarded with energy and feelings of satisfaction as well as no hunger or cravings. I feel as if I have been given control over my life. And I am so thankful for this and all of your help.
You know that you are going to have to find a place for me on your staff and I am, and will be, one of your most avid advocates. I am impressed with the relationship everyone seems to have with each other and I am impressed with the overall philosophy and treatment I personally receive when I come. What you are doing "feels right" to me and I seriously believe in the principals involved. I believe that wellness is the key and that traditional medicine is not beneficial in some cases.
I have trouble expressing what all this means to me, but I do want you to know that I feel great and appreciate this new outlook on life and your part in helping it come about.
